Recently, the 2017 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Association for Science and Technology and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, was held in Nanjing. More than 200 industry experts and more than 300 domestic and foreign companies attended the conference. Experts attending the conference believe that China's smart manufacturing development still needs to cross four hurdles: First, the core technology is subject to people, and key components are highly dependent on foreign countries. Second, the development of software systems lags behind, and smart manufacturing is “hard” and “soft”. Third, the development of artificial intelligence is lagging behind, and there is insufficient coordination among enterprises. Fourth, the product quality problem is outstanding, and the company lacks the “artisan spirit”. China should take advantage of its latecomer and promote the technological route of digitalization, networking and intelligent integration, and realize the all-round intelligent upgrade of China's manufacturing industry.

In recent years, smart manufacturing has gradually become the focus of global economic competition. At the main forum of the 2017 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, Zhou Ji, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said: "Today's global manufacturing competition is intensifying. China is in a critical period of development from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power. We must seize the historical opportunity of intelligent manufacturing. Achieving a revolutionary industrial upgrade."

Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances Co., Ltd. (45.150, 0.57, 1.28%) Co., Ltd., which started with air conditioning, has been the world's top 500 in 24 years. Since 2013, Gree Electric has begun to implement intelligent transformation and set up a smart equipment manufacturing division. At present, the products have covered servo robots, industrial robots (19.210, -0.25, -1.28%), intelligent storage equipment, intelligent testing, special machine tools for heat exchangers, unmanned automated production lines, CNC machine tools and many other fields. "China's manufacturing industry is in a critical stage of becoming bigger and stronger. Enterprises must have a sense of innovation, a spirit of challenge, and independent innovation to make the world fall in love with 'Made in China.'" Dong Mingzhu, chairman of Gree Electric Co., Ltd. said .

Intelligent manufacturing is a huge system engineering, involving network technology, factory floor, product logistics, product design services and other aspects. Nanjing Weigang Dairy is a Chinese old-fashioned dairy company with a history of 89 years. In recent years, with the help of intelligence, information and automation, Weigang Dairy has built smart animal husbandry, intelligent supply chain, smart factory, intelligent service, etc., to promote the industrial chain upgrade. “Weigang insisted on the idea of “building the pasture first and then doing the market” since its establishment. Now it has become the driving principle of intelligent manufacturing innovation of 'being a ranch first, then making a smart factory'.” Chairman of Nanjing Weigang Dairy Co., Ltd. Bai Yuanlong said.

Intelligent manufacturing is not only an opportunity for enterprises to transform and upgrade, but also a major change in the industry.壹 壹 是 is a Maas (Internet of Things as a Service) cloud manufacturing platform service provider, known as the "pocket factory", using 3D printing technology and the Internet to solve the problem of industrial supply and demand asymmetry.

At present, China ranks as the world's No. 1 manufacturing powerhouse. More than 220 of the more than 500 major industrial products rank first in the world, and 56 manufacturing companies have entered the list of the world's top 500 companies in 2015. The information from the conference shows that in recent years, China's intelligent manufacturing level has improved significantly, and a number of core technology equipment R&D applications have made new breakthroughs. Some new intelligent manufacturing models have begun to replicate and promote, and the Internet-based “double-creative” platform has grown rapidly. The penetration rate of digital design tools of enterprises exceeds 61.8%, and the numerical control rate of key process flows reaches 45.4%. However, compared with developed countries such as the United States, Japan, and Germany, there is still a clear gap in China's smart manufacturing in many fields.

"Intelligent manufacturing is the core of competition in the future manufacturing industry, and it is also the main direction of 'Made in China 2025'. At present, China's manufacturing industry is 'big but not strong', and the competitiveness of high-end fields and core areas is insufficient, which seriously restricts China's manufacturing from manufacturing to manufacturing. The strong country is moving forward." Zhou Ji said.

At this conference, the China Enterprise Confederation released the "China Smart Manufacturing Green Paper 2017", pointing out that China's smart manufacturing development still needs to meet a series of challenges, including the lack of key technical equipment supply capabilities, standards, industrial software, industrial Internet and other foundations. The conditions are weak, and some companies are not motivated.

A number of industry experts said that China's development of smart manufacturing still faces the following challenges:

First, the core technology is subject to people, and key components are highly dependent on foreign countries. Tsao, vice president of Tsinghua University, believes that China is a big manufacturing country with the largest amount and the full range of products. However, the lack of high-tech equipment and high-performance equipment is the fundamental reason for the lack of independent innovation and core technology abroad. Key components can only rely heavily on imports.

Second, the development of software systems lags behind, and smart manufacturing is “hard” and “soft”. Academician Li Peigen, vice president of the China Association for the Advancement of Intelligent Manufacturing, believes that intelligent manufacturing is a combination of "hardness and softness", including hardware such as robots, high-end CNC systems, sensors, and drive mechanisms, as well as intelligent design and technology. Software for process simulation, shop floor execution systems, etc. The thinking of “heavy hardware manufacturing and light software development” is relatively common in China, which makes China’s supply level in industrial software more distinct from developed countries.

Third, the development of artificial intelligence is lagging behind, and there is insufficient coordination among enterprises. Artificial intelligence is the core area for the future development of intelligent manufacturing. According to data from CCID Research Institute and Xtecher, the global artificial intelligence market will reach 269.73 billion yuan in 2018, with a growth rate of 17%. At the end of 2016, the scale of China's artificial intelligence market was less than 30 billion yuan. Tan Tieniu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the artificial intelligence industry in China is still in the initial stage of development, and the basic public service capacity is not strong. At the same time, China's artificial intelligence industry is still dominated by single-handedness. Various enterprises have conducted certain research in related fields, but there is a lack of synergy between technologies. The interconnection between products and the interaction between upstream and downstream lack effective coordination.

Fourth, the product quality problem is outstanding, and the company lacks the “artisan spirit”. At present, domestic smart products generally have quality problems such as poor stability and low reliability, which seriously affect the competitiveness in the high-end market. Many experts said that smart manufacturing is not only a pursuit of technology, but also a culture embedded in manufacturing, and it is necessary to delve into the "artisan spirit". “China has a very sound production and processing chain, but it lacks long-term research and continuous innovation. Some key technologies are difficult to achieve breakthroughs. They can only rely on the introduction of technology from other countries or import a large number of core raw materials and components. Or equipment. Under the new economic normal, the craftsman spirit is just a kind of productivity that increases new kinetic energy and promotes industrial transformation and upgrading." You Zheng said.

Intelligent manufacturing is the main direction of "Made in China 2025", and it is also the entry point for the integration of China's two depths. "For decades, the development of intelligent manufacturing in advanced countries has taken a series of paths from digitalization to networking and intelligent upgrading. For China, it is necessary to take advantage of the latecomer and take the technical route of parallel promotion and integration development. Zhou Ji said.

At the 2017 World Smart Manufacturing Conference, a number of industry insiders proposed to accelerate the integration of smart manufacturing development.

The first is to speed up the layout of the industrial Internet. Since GE proposed the concept of "Industrial Internet" in 2012, giants such as IBM, Siemens, and Huawei have successively laid out, and the world is basically on the same line. China should seize the opportunity of development, accelerate the construction of an efficient and reliable industrial Internet network, focus on building an industrial Internet platform ecosystem, accelerate the cultivation of industrial Internet platforms, build a cross-industry and cross-disciplinary industrial Internet platform, and build a number of enterprises that can support enterprise digitalization and network. An enterprise-level platform for transformation and intelligent transformation.

The second is to accelerate the development of an intelligent service ecosystem. The fundamental change of industrial model and corporate form is the theme of intelligent manufacturing, and it is the main battlefield of service-oriented manufacturing operations. At present, Chinese enterprises have moved from production centers to market centers. Now they must focus on customers, deeply study the individual needs of customers, connect customers and workshops by means of Internet, and even allow customers to participate in certain production processes and let customers Enter the workshop and build an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.

The third is to improve the security of the basic network. With the deepening of the development of the integration of the two industries, the industrial information system has gradually moved from a single machine to a network, from closed to open, and security vulnerabilities and risks have emerged. To realize the healthy development of "Internet + manufacturing", we must improve the protection capability of China's industrial information security, accelerate the development of industrial information security industry, increase the research on related technologies of industrial information security industry, and promote the application of industrial information security products and services. .
