China should take advantage of its latecomer and promote the technological route of digitalization, networking and intelligent integration, and realize the all-round intelligent upgrade of China's manufacturing industry.

    A number of industry experts said that China's development of smart manufacturing still faces the following challenges:

    First, the core technology is subject to people, and key components are highly dependent on foreign countries. Tan Tieniu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the artificial intelligence industry in China is still in the initial stage of development, and the basic public service capacity is not strong. At the same time, China's artificial intelligence industry is still dominated by single-handedness. Various enterprises have conducted certain research in related fields, but there is a lack of synergy between technologies.
